**US Government approved CAC (Common Access Card) reader**

The SCR338 is part of the extensive SCR33x product familiy. The reader allows secure PIN code entry directly and safely into the keyboard without being transmitted to the host.

The SCR338 is based on SCM Microsystems’ STC II micro controller chip. The on-board flash enables seamless firmware upgrades in the field to adapt the reader to current requirements and prevent obsolescence.
